The idea for the scholarship was entirely conceived by Marc after the drowning death of Pierre.

Marc approached Doug Bradshaw with his idea on honoring Pierre's legacy, and it shortly came into fruition within days.

After Marc's passing, it was quickly decided to add his name as well with his brother, to honor them both with this memorial scholarship fund.
